Deflagratia s-a produs la o casa din localitatea Anzio, situata in imediata apropiere a capitalei Italiei, la periferia de vest a acesteia. In explozie a murit o femeie de origine romana.
Potrivit pompierilor, deflagratia s-a produs din cauza unor scurgeri de gaze. Mihaela B., in varsta de 47 de ani, se afla in casa alaturi de fiica ei si nu a supravietuit exploziei. Tanara de 21 de ani a fost de asemenea ranita grav si este in sectia de terapie intensiva a Spitalului Sant’Eugenio din Roma.
Vila apartine unor cetateni italieni, iar romanca era angajata acestora si se ocupa de ingrijirea imobilului.
